About
I completed the Samarathon in 2021 and 2022, to raise funds in memory of my much-loved son who I miss every single day, Gordon Adam (Sgt - Royal Scots Dragoon Guards). Gordon, 35, had signed up for the Samarathon 2019 but lost his personal battle with depression only days later.
This year, my good friend Paula Wilson is joining me to undertake the Samarathon as she sadly lost a close family member earlier this year. I am so grateful for Paula's support and doing it together will help me, as last year I injured my knee running this and so will have to take it easier this year.
So many precious lives are lost through the tragedy of suicide, devastating families and friends, leaving everyone wishing they could have done more to help. Donating to our Samarathon is doing something to help. £5 donation answers one call and it could be someone from your family who needs that call answered.
Thank you.

Every 10 seconds, Samaritans answer a call for help. We're here, day or night, for anyone who's struggling to cope, who needs someone to listen without judgement or pressure. Samaritans is not only for the moment of crisis, we're taking action to prevent the crisis. We give people ways to cope and the skills to be there for others.
Every life lost to suicide is a tragedy, and Samaritans vision is that fewer people die by suicide. That's why we work tirelessly to reach more people and make suicide prevention a priority.
